"Threads of the City" – A Dialogue Between Craft and Rythm
In the heart of Shanghai, where motion never pauses and architecture soars, a new flagship rises — not to echo the noise of the city, but to weave through it. AEX & OVV is not merely a store. It is a layered spatial narrative — a reflection of Shanghai’s dual nature: relentlessly modern, deeply rooted.
Throughout all three levels, the dual language of materials — cold steel and warm wood, tension and texture — plays out like a carefully sewn garment. Every element has been tailored. Every transition, like the threading of fabric, is intentional.
The ground floor opens with a bold, sculptural gesture. A copper thread installation, suspended and fluid, anchors the space. Its warm metallic tones contrast the cold precision of polished stainless steel.
Reflective surfaces, linear lighting, and stainless steel structures evoke the clarity of a skyline and the motion of the street. Garments are presented as objects of art. The parquet wood flooring below softens the space, grounding the sleek architecture in tradition.
This is not simply a store. It is an homage to the act of making — to the hands, tools, and time behind every piece. It is Shanghai — stitched together, fastened with memory, dressed in the future.
